EXAMINATION
As a prerequisite for this examination you must
study: The answer lines are omitted from the web site for space economy. You may write your answers on separate paper, or keep a permanent word processing document file for answers. You may want to print the Examination(s), as well any of the lessons in the Advanced Studies series for future reference and for training others. Start your own realmiracles.com Bible study group. Go to "File" on your computer and then select "Print". Many people in many nations have reached multitudes for Christ from what they learned by completing the Assignments at the end of the Examination. Do a good job for the Lord! Also, it is imperative that you learn the Seven Keys at the end of the Examination (before the Assignments).
1. What is "true spirituality"? 2. If someone is not a "close" brother or sister in the Lord, and comes to you with a need, what are two things you should do first? Write both answers in (A) and (B) below; make sure each answer is 20 words or less. 3. Do you really WANT to meet the needs of people? Are you looking for opportunities to meet the needs of people as you go about your daily work, business, or activities? (Do NOT answer this question on paper. It is private, between you and God.) Pray about it! 4. What is the best way you can help someone, or meet their need? 5. Read Genesis 12:1-5. What are seven (7) ways God promised to bless Abraham for obeying him? 6. Read Psalm 37:3-5. Notice that if you do four things:
All four of which are aspects of obedience then you will:
Notice these verses in Psalm 37 show a place of blessing for living and working --
This is what God gave Adam in the garden of Eden, a beautiful place to live and work -- but because of sin, it was forfeited, or lost. (Read Genesis Chapter 2 and 3.) There is a "spiritual" place of blessing for you, and a "geographic" place of blessing. That is:
If you are preaching on the streets in Lome, Togo, and God wants you preaching on the streets in Aflao, Ghana, people will still be saved and God will still bless His Holy Word; however, the blessing in your personal life will not be as great because you are NOT where God wants you! Now look at Genesis Chapter 12, verses 2 and 3, again. What are seven (7) ways God can bless you for obeying Him, like he did Abraham? If you had trouble answering the question above (seven ways God can bless you), then read Galatians 3:14 and Matthew 28:18-20. Not, try it again. 7. Study Genesis 11:1-9. God said, "Nothing will be restrained from them which they have imagined to do." This is a POWERFUL statement! These people did NOT know God; they were unbelievers, and yet God said, "Nothing they plan to do will be impossible for them." Why did God say this? (Find two answers in verse 6.) Look at Genesis 11:6 again. If you have UNITY (the believers with which you fellowship are "one") and TONGUES (all have one language "in the Spirit"), how much more will "nothing be restrained from you" especially when you know and serve God! 8. Where did the different races and languages come from? In Acts 17:26, the Bible says, "(God) has made of one blood all nations of men for to dwell on all the face of the earth, and has determined the times before appointed, and the boundaries of their habitations." From one man, Adam, God has made every nation of men to scatter and settle on the whole face of the earth, God knowing beforehand which nations would rise and fall and at what time they would be in power. God also fixed their boundaries ahead of time for these certain periods of time. God established the boundaries of the nation of Israel about 4000 years ago, during the time of Abraham. (See Genesis 15:18-21.) About 700 years later, God gave the description of the boundaries of Israel in more detail to Moses. (See Deuteronomy 34:1-12.) Abraham had two sons: Ishmael and Isaac. Read Genesis Chapters 16, 17, 21, and 22. Ishmael was Abrahams son by his Egyptian maid, Hagar. Ishmael became the "father" of the Arab nations; he was the son "of the flesh", not the son which God had promised to Abraham. Isaac was the "son of the promise", but Ishmael was the result of Abraham trying to "help God out"...trying to help God keep His word. Have you ever tried to do this? Have you ever acted too quickly instead of waiting with patience for the promise of God to come to pass? In Genesis 21:12, God said unto Abraham, "in Isaac shall thy seed be called." Through the line of Isaac would the "seed" come who would bless the world. Isaac had twin sons named Esau and Jacob. Even though Jacob was the younger, he inherited the blessing, or "birthright", form his father Isaac (Genesis 25:19-34). Jacobs name was changed to Israel one time after he had wrestled with an angel of God all night (Genesis Chapter 32). The name "Jacob" means "heel catcher" or "supplanter" (one who displaces, as he did his brother Esau in regard to the birthright). The name Israel means "having power with God" or "Gods fighter". A change had happened in Jacobs life; he began to see the purpose of God for his life! Have you had a change in your life? Do you have a vision of what God wants you to do? If so, you will be changed! The God of Israel is the God of Abraham, Isaac, and Jacob. Jacob, whose name was changed to Israel, had 12 sons who became the heads of the 12 tribes of Israel. Now you see where the nation of Israel came from: from the seed of Abraham, but it started with Jacob (Israel) who was the father of the 12 tribes. God called Abraham out and he became a blessing to the whole earth through his obedience. It was through his (Abrahams) seedline that Jesus came! Abraham produced a nation (Israel) and that nation produced the Messiah: Jesus Christ! The name "Jew" was first used to refer to someone from the tribe of Judah. Later, after the return from the 70 year captivity in the time of Ezra and Nehemiah [we will study this in a later Lesson Plan], the name "Jew" was used to refer to anyone from any of the 12 tribes, since the tribe of Judah seemed to make up the larger portion of the remnant of Israel. The children of Israel were originally called "Hebrews". In the New Testament, the Apostle Paul was called a Hebrew; and yet the two terms, "Hebrew" and "Jew", are now used with little distinction. 9. Why are the Jews called "Gods chosen people"? (See Deuteronomy Chapter 7.) 10. When conducting a mass crusade, why is it important to have workers trained in "crowd control"? 11. During a mass crusade people see miracles and are drawn to Christ. "The Lord working with them, and confirming the word with signs following." (Mark 16:20.) To meet the needs of the people in a powerful and permanent way, churches should be established from the new believers [Lesson Plan Five]. What are two other things that should be done after, or as a result of, the crusade? 12. What is one type of media you can use for Christ - indoors or outdoors - that will not cost you any money? Also, describe briefly what you would do. 13. Write a brief statement telling what happened on each of the first six days during creation (Genesis Chapter One.) 14. What happened on the seventh day? (Genesis 2:1-3.) The seventh day is a special day: it is the day of rest (Exodus 20:9-11). It is a holy day of the LORD; but it is also a day that God has given man so that God may bless him. Many Christian workers have bad health (some even die early) and some are in financial difficulty because they do not take their "day of rest" and honor the LORD, enjoying His presence. If you are a street preacher, or a tract distributor, or a pastor, you may have to minister on Saturday, Sunday, or both days; but be sure to take a day sometime during the week that you can call a "delight, a pleasure, a joy", a holy day of the LORD! Spend time with God and in His Word, the Holy Bible. Speak Gods Words and not yours. Honor the LORD, not doing your own ways, nor finding your own pleasure. Get up in the morning on this special day and say, "Today is a delight, its the Sabbath, the holy day of the LORD!" Read Isaiah 58:13-14. If you do this from the heart, three things will happen to you:
Genesis Chapter One, in the original form, uses only 76 different root words. If it were written in scientific language only a few people could understand it, and even then it would have to be revised every few years. Our grandparents would not have understood it were it written in the scientific language of today; and it would be old or outdated to our children and grandchildren. In Genesis Chapter One the Creator simply makes a "Beginning" for His Book, the Holy Bible, and establishes that the God of the Bible is the God of Creation. He does it in language simple enough for all men of all nations of all ages! 15. Read and study Genesis Chapters 6, 7, 8, and 9. Why did God destroy the earth with a flood? In 2 Peter Chapter Three, the Apostle tells us that in the last days (before the return of Christ) scoffers who walk after their own lusts will mock at the coming of Christ (verses 3 and 4). They will say, "Where is Christs coming? Everything has remained as it was from the beginning of creation." This is really the "principle of uniformitarianism"; in other words, "the present is the key to the past." Or, for example, the processes we see on the crust of the earths surface today are enough to account for all the events of the past that have formed the crust. However, this is not true for at least two reasons:
The Bible tells us more about these scoffers who will appear in the last days, saying, "All things continue as they were from the beginning of the creation." In 2 Peter 3 we see that they are willingly ignorant of (or, forget) three things:
If there had been no flood, the seed of Noah would have been corrupted by an ungodly world. God needed a holy family from which He could bring forth a nation and from that nation the Messiah. Without "The Flood" there would have been no Christ...no resurrection! In the same manner, God is looking for holy families today. Knowing all this , what holy lives we should be living!
Read the booklet enclosed with this examination, How To Win The World For Christ. What are "seven keys" to help YOU win the world for Christ. ASSIGNMENTS 1. Design the outside cover of a tract. If you use color (you do not have to) do not use over three (3) colors. 2. Design an outside Gospel billboard (for the side of a road) or a large poster (for an airport, bus terminal, or sidewalk). Use a regular sheet of paper even though the poster would really be about one meter high. 3. Create a 60 second radio spot using only two (2) people talking to each other. Write the dialogue between the two people and describe any background music or sound. 4. Design a website that would be effective in reaching the world for Christ (you may focus on only one country, culture, language or ethnic group if you like). 5. Write these four words on a sheet of paper: Creation, Fall, Flood, Babel. Now look at the "History" section of DCC 2. Add to the four words above no more than 20 words describing the "History" from Abraham to the close of the Old Testament. Try to commit these words to memory so that, at any time, you can teach or preach through the Old Testament. Example: Creation, Fall, Flood, Babel, Abraham, Egypt, Passover, Wilderness (or wanderings), etc. [Send your list of names in with your assignments.] Now compare the powerful sermon preached by Stephen in Acts Chapter 7 with what you have done above.
6. Write a short story (about 500 words) with the title "Gods Program For Man". Use three (3) main points:
Start with the creation of earth and man, and mans loss of identity through sin. Use the evangelistic tool How To Win (available in many languages on this site) to help you describe Redemption. In your story, tell people about Re-creation by Gods Spirit and Word ... and about Fully Sufficient Vitality (abundant life). Use John 10:10 and I John 3:8. Congratulations! You just created your own tool for reaching people for Christ. Why not publish it? 7. For the next seven (7) days ask God to show you peoples needs: then do your best to meet them, or make plans to meet them. At the end of each day, ask yourself, "Did I meet the needs of those people I met today?" Pray and ask God to show you how you could have - or can still - help meet their needs. Write the results and include them in your examination. 8. If you have not finished the Bible Studies, be sure you do, because you will learn the whole New Testament. You may work on them while you are studying the Advanced Studies. After you are finished with this exam, go on to DCC 8. If you have been blessed or received a miracle as a result of the studies, go to Feedback and tell us what God has done!
