RABBI 15
Up

Commentaries from ancient Jewish Rabbis who lived righteous lives point to and identify The Man:   the Messiah of Israel.

Although not Scripture, the writings of various Targums and the Sanhedrin confirm the identity of the Messiah.  Both appearances of  Messiah are clearly identified by ancient rabbinical writings.

God called one man, the man Abraham, to bring forth a nation.  And He called that nation, Israel, to bring forth The Man:  the Messiah!

Zechariah 9:9

"Rejoice greatly, O daughter of Zion; shout, O daughter of Jerusalem:  behold, thy king comes unto thee:  He is just, and having salvation; lowly, and riding upon a donkey.  Upon a colt the foal of a donkey."

Rabbi Hillel said, "Israel shall have no more Messiah, for they have had Him in the days of Hezekiah.

Rabbi Joseph said, "May God forgive Rabbi Hillel.  When did Hezekiah live?  During the first Temple, and Zechariah prophesied during the second Temple, saying:  ' ... Behold, thy King cometh to thee; He is just and having salvation'."  [Sanhedrin]
